Quercetin can be used for joint health

A recent study in Japan several research institutions showed that the quercetin and joint health ingredients glucosamine and chondroitin may be associated with reduced symptoms of osteoarthritis.

        In this study, the researchers recruited a total of 40 patients with osteoarthritis, randomized placebo intake or joint health supplements. Daily dose supplements of 1200mg of glucosamine hydrochloride, chondroitin sulfate 60mg and 45mg of quercetin glycosides. Study for 16 weeks. The results showed that compared with the control group, a significant decrease in pain patients in the supplement group and walking on stairs. But two groups of knee swelling and changes in stride and so little difference. This study is the use of joint health assessment criteria shaping Japan Association.

        On cartilage metabolism markers analysis showed synthesis and degradation of type II collagen tends to balance, but there was no significant statistical significance. Thus, chondroitin, glucosamine and quercetin combined with knee OA Fashan may have some protective effect. The results of this study also require long-term, larger clinical studies confirm.
